Our Mission.
Space For Us creates community-centered pathways into astronomy, making the universe more accessible, participatory, and visible within the communities we serve.Through public observing, hands-on learning, emerging technologies, and opportunities to engage with real astronomical tools and data, we aim to create spaces where curiosity can grow into knowledge, skills, and deeper participation in science.
We believe astronomy should be something people can do, not simply something they learn about. Whether someone is looking through a telescope for the first time, learning how astronomical technology works, exploring scientific data, or imagining a future in STEM, Space For Us creates opportunities to move from observer to participant. Our work begins with the night sky, but extends beyond it—building scientific confidence, cultivating curiosity, and creating pathways for people to see themselves as part of discovery.
